How many times have a smilar style of a product actually beat the actual device to the market? Happens only once in a blue moon, eh? Having said that, you’d best put your head out of the window and see whether the moon has turned that color, since the Philips Xenium K700 style cell phones  is already out even though its supposed blueprint isn’t even official just yet. This Shanzai effort will come with a 3″ display at 240 x 400 resolution and support for CDMA and GSM networks. No idea on its operating system of choice, although Windows Mobile would be a pretty good bet.

Shenzen MacBook Air clone

Shenzen seems to have carved a reputation for coming up with their own hardware, and their latest line of Macbook Air styles will come with a removable battery, a SIM card slot and a memory card reader, making it sound much more delectable than the original. Too bad the innards are netbook-class specifications with an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor coupled with 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, HDMI connectivity and a 12.1″ LCD display. Word has it that future iterations will include 10″, 11″, 12.1″ and 13.3” Mac Air.

iPhone C6 runs Windows Mobile

We suppose taking a look at the iPhone/Ciphone C6 will evoke the same emotions as checking out a Mac that runs on Windows all those years ago when Boot Camp launched, as the C6 Cell Phones will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Inside, you will get 8GB worth of storage space, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS navigation support, a 3.5″ display, 256MB ROM, Bluetooth support and a 450MHz Samsung processor. Would you trade $239.00 for this?

Recently I’ve decided to switch cellphones, my old phone can only be dropped so many times before it finally starts looking a bit ragged.  I’m now not exactly looking forward to the joys of punching in all of my numbers into a new phone.  We’ve all had to do it before, in many cases it’s happened several times over the years.  It’s just what you have to do, so you deal with it.  Well instead of adding in those numbers one by one, you can have a gadget to transfer all that data for you.  It’ll store all of your numbers and can transfer it to your new phone if you get a new one or your old is lost or stolen.

With this you won’t ever have to worry about permanently losing numbers that are very important to you.  The cell phones device stores up to 4,000 names, email addresses and numbers.  Just push the button and it’ll begin uploading them to your new phone.  It comes with adapters to accommodate hundreds of brands as well as models.  To keep it powered it requires 3 AAA batteries.  You can purchase it for $10.11.

xpPhone Might Run Windows 7 Soon

While there isn’t any official confirmation on this just yet, but word is going around the Internet that the impressive china xpPhone, which is currently powered by Windows XP, might have a newer version in the near future and it could sport Windows 7. Based on the rumor, some of the new versions will be up to 7-inches in terms of display size, sport hard disks and also Windows 7. Pricing could range from $500 to $700. Will they call it the 7Phone if it’s powered by Windows 7?

The folks at Shanzai have done it again with a HTC Snap style cell phones this time round, known as the COOLe8900-2 . This smartphone will be powered by Mediatek’s turnkey platform, accompanied by a 2.2″ display at 240 × 320 resolution. It is slightly thicker than the HTC Snap, although it beats HTC’s offering in terms of length and width. We don’t see any real reason to get this though even if it was available for a rock bottom price

ViewSonic V901 smartphone to hit China

China will be getting their hands on yet another Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone in the form of the ViewSonic V901. This handset will be powered by a Marvell PXA310 processor, accompanied by 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, a 3.6″ 480 × 800 touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel camera. We’re surprised to hear that the V901 supports CDMA EVDO Rev.A 3G network, which is good news, really, as it can be used elsewhere outside of China. Other features comprise of Bluetooth connectivity, GPS support and a microSD memory card slot. Expect to see it hit the decks sometime in Q4 this year.

Cigarette Pack Phone

You may really love your Marlboro lights, but we seriously doubt that you love them enough to be willing to purchase a cigarette-box-phone (if that’s what you call it). This cell phone is a dual-band GSM device, has a 1.6-inch display, MP3/MP4 player, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the side. The real bonus is that you can actually keep some cigarettes inside it, probably as an emergency supply, eh?

There are plenty of  iPhone clones on the market, but the most famous one is certainly the HiPhone due to its unusual light colors and system. Anyhow, as you can see by the image the new HiPhone F320 has a dial-wheel instead of a click-wheel like the Nano, but its just for style because the numerical keys work via push-button.

On top of the awkward design, the iPhone F320 has a 2.6-inch touchscreen, a 1.3-megapixel camera, makes use of the quadband GSM system, can playback MP3 or MP4 files, and also has FM and bluetooth. Sadly there is no information about the price of this iPhone clone disaster.

Yesterday, a decision was made by the ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) that could change the mobile world as we know it. This ratification of the A/153 ATSC Mobile DTV Standard “defines the technical specifications necessary for broadcasters to provide new services to mobile and handheld devices using their digital television transmissions”.

Does this mean that every mobile could be capable of playing digital TV? Maybe. Truth be told, I do most of my television watching on Hulu or other Internet TV places. Still, the idea of being anywhere with a mobile phone and channel surfing appeals to me, I guess.
